USSR- Mongolia. Badge "Participant in the battles at Khalkhin-Gol"

The badge was established by Decree of the Great People's Khural of the MPR on August 16, 1940. The date on the badge "August 1939" means a decisive moment in the military confrontation. On December 29, 1966, the badge was given the status of a medal. This award was intended to be presented to both the Mongol wars and the Soviet, who took part in the battles against the Japanese on the Khalkhin Gol River. The Japanese name is Nomon Khan Incident.
