Medals of this type were awarded from August 8, 1962 to 1968. The appearance of medals is associated with the renaming of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to the Ministry of Public Order Protection (MOOP). On the reverse in the center there is an inscription in three lines “FOR 20 (15, 10) YEARS OF IMPECCABLE SERVICE”. In the lower part of the reverse, an inscription with the indication of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of one of the 15 Union republics runs around the circumference (the exception was the medal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Ukrainian SSR - there was no indication of the republic on it, but only the inscription "the Ministry of Internal Affairs"). In the upper part of the reverse there was a small five-pointed star.
Nickel silver, enamel. The diameter is 32 mm.
