Russian Empire. Award Medal "For the Restraint of the Polish Rebellion" in 1863-1864. Established on January 1, 1865. by the decree of Emperor Alexander II. The medals were of two kinds - light and dark bronze. Light bronze medals awarded all participants of fights - from generals to lower ranks. In total, light bronze 368133 medals and dark bronze 231221 pieces were reported on the C-Petersburg coin yard. The medal was worn on a ribbon of state colors: black, orange, white stripes of the same size.
