On March 12, 1812, by order of Alexander I, the Finnish topographic corps was formed. On June 26, 1819, the Topographical corps was transferred to Friedrichsgam (now Hamina). At the same time, it was renamed the Finnish cadet corps. It was abolished in 1903.
