USSR, WWII time. Medal for defence Sevastopol in Crimea. The Medal "For the Defense of Sevastopol" is awarded to all participants of the defense of Sevastopol - soldiers of the Red Army, Navy and NKVD troops, as well as persons from the civilian population who took a direct part in the defense. The period of defense of Sevastopol is considered November 5, 1941 - July 4, 1942.

The medal was established by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of 22 December 1942. Only 52,540 people were awarded the Medal "For the Defense of Sevastopol."!!!
