It is approved on December 15, 1908 in memory of 250-year anniversary of a regiment. The badge represents a four-pointed cross with the widened ends (in a cross form for Preysish-Eylau). On the ends of a cross of a monogram: on lower - the tsar Alexey Mikhaylovich, on left - Catherine II, on right - Alexander I, on top - Nicholas II. In the center, in the circle bordered with the laurel wreath covered with white paint, dates: "1651" - year of foundation of a regiment, "1765" - year of formation of Izyumsky Hussars from Izyumsky Cossack Suburban, "1807" - year of battle at Preysish-Eylau and "1907" - year of renaming of a regiment from dragoon in hussar. The badge is topped with an imperial crown.
