The Russian Empire. Dark bronze medal "In memory of the Crimean War of 1853-56." another name is "Crimean War" or "Eastern War". It was established on August 26, 1856. The obverse of the medal shows the monograms of Emperors Nicholas I and Alexander II under the imperial crown. Above is the "all-seeing eye" with outgoing rays. Below the monograms are the dates "1853-1854-1855-1856". On the reverse is the inscription "In thee, O Lord, let us not be ashamed forever."
THE STATE MINT. It is much rarer than that of light bronze. The St. Petersburg Mint produced only 200 thousand medals.
Dark bronze. D 28mm. The weight is 11.1g. The shoe and tape are "original, arbitrary, home-made".
