Russian Empire. Star of the Order of St. Anne 1st degree. Keibel Workshop, mid-19th - early 20th century (until 1908, an early sample with sharp rays, the motto is separated by dots). On the reverse (cup) of the star and the needle is the expanded stamp of Keibel's workshop "Keibel," 84 silver samples with the stamp of St. Petersburg and the state coat of arms of the eagle - a sign of issue from the chapter of orders.
The Order of St. Anna, established in 1735 in memory of the daughter of Peter the Great, Anna, her husband, was introduced into the system of awards of the empire by Paul I. This award was presented for both state and military service. 4 degrees were provided, the youngest of them was intended to reward military merit.
