The Russian Empire. St. George's cross of private manufacture without marking the degree (AB master's stamp on the ear, oval assay stamp "84" with a woman's head in a cocoanut). The upper beam of the obverse is engraved "For No. 127". Obviously, the cross was ordered to replace the lost one. Perhaps Azarov Yakov belonged to His Majesty's Life Guards Hussar Regiment, the Life Hussar. Granted personally by His Imperial Majesty on October 27, 1914 at the Tsar's Headquarters (in Baranovichi).
There is a description of this type in A.I.Rudichenko's book "Awards of Imperial Russia during the Civil War" type A1.8.
A magnificent specimen.
