The badge has the shape of a cross of the Virtutti Military order crowned with the Imperial Crown. On the horizontal rays of the cross monogram of Emperors Alexander I and Nicholas II, on the vertical rays, the anniversary dates 1803 and 1903. Inside the wreath is a double-headed eagle with a raised wing and arrows in its paws.
