The Russian Empire. Award medal "In memory of the Russian-Turkish War of 1877-78"

It was established on April 17, 1878. The medal was of three types; silver, light bronze and dark bronze.

The silver medal was awarded to all ranks who were in the troops defending the Shipka Pass and who were also in Bayazet during the blockade. The silver medal was also awarded to the units of the troops who took part in the assault and capture of the fortress of Kars in 1877.

The medal was worn on the chest on a connected ribbon of the Orders of St. Andrew the First-Called and St. George. The total circulation of silver medals is 83334 pc.
