Russian Empire. Medal "In memory of the war of 1853-1856," another name is "Crimean War" or "Eastern War." Established on August 26, 1856. On the obverse of the medal are the combined monograms of Emperors Nicholas I and Alexander II under the imperial crown. Above, an "all-seeing eye" with outgoing rays. Below the monograms of the date "1853-1854-1855-1856." On the reverse there is an inscription "On that Lord hope, let us not be ashamed forever."
