№121318 The Mexican bayonet of the 1899 Remington-Lee model

A bayonet knife of the Mexican sample of 1899 for a Remington-Lee rifle of 7 mm caliber.

The blade of the bayonet is single-edged, with a dale on both sides. The handle of the blade is formed by two wooden cheeks fastened to the shank with two rivets. In the handle head there is a T-shaped groove and a spring latch with an internal arrangement of a spiral spring. A crosspiece with the end bent forward and with a ring for the barrel on the side of the blade butt. The scabbard is steel.

The marking consists of the inscription “REMINGTON ARMS Co, ILION, N.Y.”

VERY RARE!!!

The total length is 325 mm. The length of the blade is 210 mm. There is no latch spring in the scabbard, as a result, the blade is not fixed in the scabbard.
