Russian empire. 1900. Anniversary badge for awarding firefighters of the Yaroslavl province. The badge is made in the form of a figured shield in silver with applied details (the coat of arms of the city of Yaroslavl - a bear with a axe and an Imperial crown) and is covered with three-color hot enamel. To the right of the coat of arms attributes of firefighters: a ladder and a hook. On the reverse engraved "Established by the Provincial Zemstvo Assembly 9 detsember 1900." Judging by the engraving, this is a trial (signal) copy made for approval by the provincial authorities (usually the reverse was engraved with the name of the recipient and the date.)
