№121142 Badge for students produced as ensigns

Russian Empire. Badge for students of higher educational institutions, made as ensigns for military distinctions on the basis of command. The sign for students is a blue cross with superimposed swords placed on a white rhombus. On top is a double-headed eagle with a shield on its chest, in the shield is the monogram of the Emperor "HII."

In wartime, production was allowed as ensigns for military merits, without an exam and 3-6 months of study at the school of ensigns, non-commissioned officers with higher and secondary education.

Gilding silver 84 samples, namesake of the master "AF". Hot enamel. Size 34.5*52mm. Weight (with nut) 17.9 grams.
