№121137 Badge of the Life-Guards Volynsky Regiment. Provisional Goverment.

Russian empire. Badge of The Volyn life guard. The period of the Provisional Government (1917). The basis of the sign is a silver wreath of palm branches and wheat ears. In the center of the wreath is a silver figure of a soldier in the uniform of the Volyn life guard, holding a banner covered with red enamel in his right hand. The soldier leans on the shoulder of a woman in a national Russian costume, representing Free Russia, with his left hand. The woman holds her right hand on an oval shield with a convex inscription "February 27, 1917" . in her left hand, the woman holds a Laurel branch. At the bottom of the wreath is a ribbon with a convex inscription "VOLYNETS". Soldiers of the reserve battalion of the life guard of the Volyn regiment who directly participated in the February events of 1917, the badge was issued with the name and surname of the recipient engraved before the word "Volynets". On this sign-the surname of the awardee-A. Gurko.
