Turkey Is The Russian Empire. Approved in July 1833 by Sultan Mahmud II of Turkey for awarding the participants of the Russian landing on the Bosphorus. His Majesty the Sultan, in memory of stay in the Bosphorus auxiliary detachment of Russian troops, whose arrival was turned away the extreme danger that threatened the Port, established to commemorate this event a special medal to wear in his buttonhole, Generals, Admirals, Staff and Ober-Officers and all ranks, both Land and Naval authorities, who were part of this squad, appointing Generals and Admirals medal of gold, decorated with diamonds, Staff and Ober-officers of the gold without diamond jewelry and lower ranks silver. The sovereign Emperor, most Graciously deigning to accept these medals, has deigned to command: to wear them to all ranks of the auxiliary detachment, determined by His Sultan's Majesty's order, on a red ribbon.
