USSR. Badge, small size, member of the Communist Youth International (KIM) sample 1922-24.
The V Congress of the Komsomol, held in October 1922, approved a single badge: there were three letters on the flag in the center of the star — KIM (Communist Youth International), the inscription of the Komsomol (All-Union Leninist Communist Youth Union) was approved by the Central Committee and appeared on the badges only in 1947, and its final appearance was the Komsomol badges (with the profile of V. I. Lenin) was acquired only in 1956.
Communist Youth International (KIM) — from 1919 to 1943, an international youth organization, a section of the Comintern. The founding Congress of the KIM was held on November 20-26, 1919 in Berlin. 29 delegates from 13 countries (Russia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Italy, Spain, Czechoslovakia) represented 219 thousand members of youth organizations.
