Russia - Ukraine. Emigration. In August, 1928 in Berlin the Board of Foremen of the Ukrainian Galitsky Army (UGA) of the West Ukrainian People's Republic (WUPR) as the Honourable Award has established "the Galitsky Cross".
This ZUNR in the person of UGA has accepted under protectorate as national historical property earlier created Award the representative of a ruling dynasty of the Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeriya of the Austro-Hungarian empire.
The award has been founded by the Very prince (Archduke) of the Austro-Hungarian Empire Wilhelm Franz von Habsburg-Lotringen (Wilhelm Franz von Habsburg-Lothringen, Vasyl Vyshivany, 1895-1948). Since 1918 he was the colonel Legiona of the Ukrainian Sechevy Shooters (further – Guards of UGA), in 1921 – the Head Upravy of the Ukrainian national volnokazachy association. The award has been founded as Prinze's Award along with the client medal badge "Gold/iron Jails".
The commander of the Ukrainian Galitsky army general-horunzhy Miron Tarnavsky, the lieutenant general Mikhail Omelyanovich-Pavlenko, the general-horunzhy Anton Kravs and others were a part of board of the Award of the Galitsky Cross (only 15 full members and 10 candidates). The award in Vienna was made. All officers and soldiers of UGA were awarded and/or it was transferred to storage to community (association) of successors or successors of combatants of UGA.
