The brand of the manufacturer is on the blade - the image of a squirrel with a sword and the inscription "Original Eickhorn, Solingen" — the brand of the German company Carl Eickhorn, Solingen. The engraving "U68" is U-boat (submarine U 68).
The metal parts of the hilt of this dirk are made of yellow metal, gilded bronze. The head is made in the form of the emblem of the state eagle with folded wings. The oval-shaped handle with a spiral groove is made of plastic with a wooden base. On the front side of the straight-shaped crosspiece there is an anchor braided with a rope, and on the reverse side there is a button for the spring latch of the dagger retainer in the scabbard. The blade is straight, rhombic in cross section with two grooves. Decorated on both sides with a marine-themed pattern (etching). The scabbard is metal with a small dent in the lower part, which does not prevent the blade from entering the scabbard. Complete with a lanyard.
