Russian Empire. The badge of the Russian Red Cross Society. It was established on June 24, 1899.

The badge is a silver shield with the tip facing down, covered with white enamel with a red cross sign in the center. Gilded Imperial crown on top. The inscription in golden Slavic letters reads "love thy neighbor as thyself."

The right to wear the badge was granted to persons of both sexes: "for services rendered to the cause of humanity during military operations and during public disasters; for long-term useful activities of the ROCCa in peacetime; for a donation of at least 5,000 rubles." A one-time monetary contribution of 25 rubles was determined from each recipient of the Red Cross badge.

Silver, enamel. The mount has been converted to a screw mount.
