Russian Empire. 1916. Badge of the Latvian Rifle Battalions for the lower rankss. Badge is a shield bound by wreath of oak and laurel branches crowned by Stat coat of Russia. Eight-point star is Inside of the wreath with letters "L.S.B." and sword over the star with hilt at the base.

White metal, gilded bronze. The badge is stamped, composite (eagle bill of lading) for non-commissioned officers. The size is 37*44 mm. The sign has two holes for wearing on the caps. Signs with uncut royal crowns are very rare.
