The school opened on 1.10.1865. After the death of Grand Duke Konstantin Konstantinovich by the Highest Order on 06/24/1915.The school has been granted his patronage. The junkers wore light blue shoulder straps with scarlet edging and with the cipher of Grand Duke Konstantin Konstantinovich (KK). The school took part in the battles against the Bolsheviks in Kiev, Kuban and Crimea.
