Russian Empire. Dragoon soldier saber of 1841.

The blade is steel curved single-blade with one wide lobe. Ephesus consists of a wooden handle with grooves for twisted wire and a brass guard with a hole for the crown. Wooden sheaths covered with leather. Brass device consists of mouth, nut and tip. At the mouth and on the nut there is a ring and a bracket for the support. The hallmark "Chrysostom 1877," the technological hallmarks "L" in the circle and "S" in the circle, the reverse of "S" in the circle and "P." On all brass parts the sheath "T" in the circle. On garda "A" in the circle.

Condition; The blade is in perfect condition, practically not accurate, one small serration, with minimal surface rust.

Sheath with traces of long wear and old repairs. Converted from a dragoon version with three nuts for the bayonet into a version with one nut for fairwaters, headquarters trumpeters and foot artillery sergeant major.

A very rare item in perfect condition with its own history. Total length 1020 mm. Blade length 880 mm. The width of the blade at the mouth is 35 mm. The width of the butt at the mouth is 8.5 mm.
