Russian Empire. Sign society for helping people with disabilities in the Caucasus.

The sign is a red enamel cross, on which the so-called "Caucasian Cross" was established back in 1864 for veteran soldiers of the Caucasian Wars. There were two degrees of signs, the 1st degree in gold, was issued to those who contributed 100 rubles or more at a time in favor of society. 2nd degree in silver - to those who contributed at least 60 rubles at a time.

In 1905, in the Caucasus, in Tiflis, a society was formed to help disabled people from lower ranks who have lost the ability to work or wounded in the service, holders of the Insignia of the Military Order. The society issued benefits to disabled people and had its own "Caucasian Invalid House" in Tiflis (now Tbilisi, Georgia) where there were 24 people.

Members of the society were officers, doctors, priests and officials. The annual contribution was 3 rubles.
