The Russian Empire. The Cossack saber of the lower ranks of the 1904 sample of the Kuban Cossack Army (KKV). Made at the Zlatoust Arms Factory (ZOV) in 1899. On five test-acceptance stamps "P" and "Sh". A blade of slight curvature with two valleys. The end of the blade is double-edged. The handle is made of buffalo horn. Sashka of this type were supplied to the Caucasian Cossack army from 1850-60 by the supplier .Tanner, the so-called "tannery". The scabbard was made on the "places" in a semi-artisanal way (military workshops, military craft schools, private owners).

The total length is 933 mm, the length of the blade is 774 mm, the width is 36.5 mm, the thickness of the butt at the heel is 5 mm.
