Russian Empire. Order of St. Anne 3rd degree with swords - for military merits. Made in bronze in Edward's workshop. The stamp under the enamel on the lower beam "Edward," and the letter "K" - the capital, the period of the First World War, issued after 1915. The 3rd degree cross was worn on the chest. The ribbon of the Order of St. Anna is red with a yellow (gold) border.
Imperial Order of St. Anna was established back in 1735 as a dynastic award of the Duchy of Holstein ( Holstein. or Holstein (Holstein, Lat. Holsatia) is a former duchy in Northern Germany, between the Eider, the Elbe, the Grass, the German and Baltic Seas). It appeared much later in the state system of awards of Russia. This happened in 1797 by the decision of Emperor Paul I. The Order encouraged officials and military personnel of almost all ranks.
Bronze, enamel. Enamels are fine. The lower left grille with the handle of the sword has been replaced. Size 36.5 * 40.5 mm. The tape and pad are old, original.
