Russian Empire. The badge of an officer who graduated from the Mikhailovsky Artillery School is a military educational institution of the Russian Empire, opened in St. Petersburg on November 25, 1820 at the initiative of Field Master General Grand Duke Mikhail Pavlovich to train artillery officers. Later it became a preparatory institution for the Mikhailovsky Artillery Academy. Approved on March 7, 1911.
